What’s the difference between pelvic floor therapy and regular physical therapy?

What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable clothes you can move in—think yoga pants or leggings. If we’ll be doing specific movement-based work, your therapist will guide you on what’s best to wear.
Why choose an out of network provider?
It Let’s be real—co-pays keep going up, while the time and attention you get in many in-network clinics keeps going down. At Better Body Rehab, it’s the exact opposite. You’ll get the full attention of your therapist for your entire session, every time. Every session is 100% personalized to your goals, your body, and your journey.
What does that mean for your recovery? You make more progress, faster. Plus, you leave each visit with real tools to feel strong, confident, and more like yourself again.
What should I expect during my first pelvic floor therapy appointment?
Your first visit includes a thorough 1-on-1 evaluation, including a conversation about your symptoms, goals, medical history, and a physical assessment. We may assess your posture, breathing, core engagement, and pelvic floor function. We’ll collaborate on a customized plan based on your comfort level—no internal exam is ever required.
Do you offer virtual pelvic floor therapy (telehealth)?
Yes! We offer telehealth pelvic floor physical therapy sessions so you can get expert care from the comfort of home. We use movement analysis, education, real-time coaching, and customized home programs to support your progress—even virtually.
How long does it take to see results from pelvic floor therapy?
Most clients begin noticing improvements within 3–5 sessions, depending on their symptoms and consistency with their home program. We offer Care Plan packages to help you stay committed to your goals and receive added perks and savings.
Do I need a referral to start pelvic floor therapy?
In Florida, you can see a pelvic floor physical therapist without a referral for up to 30 days. After that, we’ll help coordinate with your doctor if continued care is needed. Many clients come straight to us to save time and get started faster.
Is pelvic floor therapy covered by insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider, which allows us to offer longer, personalized sessions without insurance restrictions. We provide superbills for potential reimbursement and offer Care Plan discounts and flexible payment options to fit your budget.
Can my partner join sessions for birth prep or sexual wellness?
